Random guess is that the ones on the ground are bricks that if you click you get the item at the state of the brick, and when you place it you can actually place them like anywhere and it just creates a brick with the state of the item. In other words there are actually like 4 bricks or so. Unless the bricks are .dts in which case I suppose the bricks are literally the item and all?
