Wait can somebody give me a tut on making strings and junk, like the weaving of a beanie?

well i dont know about a beanie but weaving is sorta like

Pretty much, It's straight up and down, weaved from the top, and has a lip (usually) because people like to fold up the edge of the beanie

are you trying to really model the weaving?

I just want it to look realistic in a good way

That would just be a texture, you wouldn't want to model that in.

Oh ok then. i don't get the texturing concept much.. how does it apply the texture without overlapping and stuff?

Also: can somebody supply me with a beanie weave texture?

I personally am not much of a modeler myself but I fully understand how it works. Can't help you there :\
