Didn't insult it. I merely stated it's interface can be used very easily. I've used sketchup, time and time again, and I do quite fine on it thank you. And in my opinion. It's not the best program for modelling. Calm your tits.

i did not say you insulted it. The line shows the end of what I was directing to you.

the basics of GSU is simple to learn, but actually making something awesome - which is what makes you a pro in it - does not rely on the interface.

everything has the same color but who cares

:>

Just a little project I'm working on.

Looks poop squideey 0/10
would be 10/10 if it had cats

Eh. It looks fine in Source SDK, but the lighting somehow messes up in-game. This only occurs on the Soldier's hat.

Recalculate normals.

When I parent the armature to the model, and the model has the edgesplit modifier to it, it causes literal tears in the model when I'm posing it. Help.

Apply the modifier?

Yes. Extrude and I (maybe a few other people) do that for all our weapons, though I rarely make any.
Cool. How?

Swaggin'
I'm jelly. It's so cool. Needs some selective smooth shading though to fix that triangulatan above the right boot.

:V That is what happens when a quad is not planar, just make it planar and it'll be fine.

You can't make sure all quads are planar when animating an organic rig. That's why you use smooth shading.

Those artifacts are just dumbassery caused by the AO map. I can fix that in post easily.

Also, I didn't actually make the model. This guy already had it on standby but never used it, and he gladly gave it to me when I asked. I'm going to make more variations on this model and the textures so I can use it in a project of mine.

Still a WIP, especially around the receiver area and when the scope connects.

Hey Racer, how's that Baja bug thing coming around?
