It does work that way actually. I have a few models that have the appearance of having bad triangulation from Blender's rendering via the camera. It does not look that way in BL. As long as you set that face to be a quad in Blender during editing, it will stay a quad.
Oh wow. My mind is officially blown. I had no idea it worked like that. I've always just triangulated the models because I assumed the exporter would do that anyways. I know the text is weird but I wanted something more complex too.



Can anyone tell me where the .blender folder is located?

I can't find it.

Also I'm just about to Export my model and I think I may have borked Blender by putting the exporter in the wrong folder :I

Two things:

>It's located where you downloaded blender
>What version are you trying to export with?

folders that begin with '.' are hidden by default so you have to change the in windows options somewhere.

Two things:

dear god i've lost all my modeling skill, probably because i haven't practiced. something easy/simple to model that i can practice with?
