Lets get one thing crystal clear; I did not fail this because it was from Halo.
I failed this because I saw it in-game and it did nothing that all the hundreds of other guns already do. Except this one just has a bigger explosion with more explodey bits and more attention whoring in general. The idea of add-ons is to bring new and interesting stuff to the game, that allows for more unique gameplay - this and many other add-ons are just new fancy models that do nothing extra, just take up datablocks and diskspace and increase the download times for everyone.
You will notice that every weapon I've released brings something new to gameplay. The shotgun was the first weapon to have kickback and spreading bullets, the flamethrower was the first constantly firing weapon, the flak cannon was the first weapon with multiple bouncing pieces of shrapnel. Those all offer cool new ways to use weapons.
I don't want to see something I took a long time to create being abused to spread this kind of low quality work around to all our users. Go ahead and upload it to mediafire, as long as it isn't using up our bandwidth and server space.
I get that it is like other weapons, but there is one thing I don't understand.
If this didn't get through, what about other weapons that are just like weapons we already have, but look different? There are more then one sniper that are basically the same. There are definitely more than one pistol that sound the same, and do the same thing as the gun. The list goes on.
But what about mine? It's a laser cannon. I looked it up already on RTB manager, and I didn't see one laser cannon. That means my weapon is different, and should be treated as such.

Fine, you have your opinion on the game. But the problem with you is, if I made it slightly different, and said it wasn't from Halo, you wouldn't have loving denied it so quickly. That is pretty sad, because your hate for a game doesn't mean you have to hate on everything that looks or acts like it.
So, you hate laser pens too? How about laser weapons from other games? I bet they're cool to you. That is seriously a low excuse for hating it.
Truthfully, the model seems a bit lacking on the sides. A bit bland and little texture.
