I recently bought Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box, and while playing, it is sometimes quite laggy. I know my processor is weak, but I don't know what is causing it. I forgot what graphics card I have, It is a recent Nvidia. I have an AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3500+ with 2.19 GHz. I also have 1 Gig of RAM. The game recommends a 2.8 Processor and 1 Gig of RAM minimum. I was wondering if anybody knows what's wrong. I think it's the processor, But I don't know.

It runs fine after a while.

Edit: I am thinking about getting a processor. Does it matter which one it is, as long as it's AMD?

I have 2,4ghz 1gbram and a 7600GT, it runs with 17 fps average at 1024xsomething which is also laggy.. Also wtf with your cpu?
Mine is a 3400+ and it runs 2,4

Minimum requirements are what you need to open the game, recommended specs are for running the game smoothly.

So, would getting a new processor help alot?

Try lowering settings and resolution first.

Go 640x480 if you have to.

But, will getting a new processor help?

its your ram, if a game is usually running slow it's because of your ram.

Get out.

Get out.
More ram fixed DoD lag for me. I think it helps.

So should I get RAM or a new processor. Or both?

I can run this game fine on 2.0ghz. Getting 20-30FPS.

I think you should get more RAM. That processor isn't that bad.

Intel dual core requires less GHz for some reason. Make sure it's AMD.

I do have AMD dual core.
