Most likely.
I'll give the benefit of the doubt to the high school kids, but the rest are clearly talking out of their asses.

Weed --> Lung cancer.

You're logic is done.

You are logic is done?

Lol.

I've seen it before, my friend's neighbor got arrested and we saw the police carrying out this huge loving bag of it.

One of my friends showed it to me when he got it.  The next day he was arrest cause he went around showing everyone.  Dumbass.

That's what happened to some 7th Grader at my school. She got weed, and thought it was cool to tell everyone about it. Jackass.

I think the biggest problem is the potential to go to harder drugs. Pot itself isn't that bad, but a lot of kids, at least at my old highschool, went to a lot of other stuff after it. My friends brother is a good example of this. He's drugged himself stupid. He drinks all his parents liquor, skips school most of the time, and sleeps on the couch in their basement watching research all night. My friend thinks he might have got himself into some stuff too, since he no longer hangs out with his "friends".

As long as it's not abused it's fine.

wait why does it matter if its legal people are gonna do it anyways.

ITT: People who've never seen weed
Hey my daddy makes me pull weeds every other weekend!

It saddens me that the propoganda regarding marijuana is still being circulated as fact today :(. Yes, i'm for it.

The funny thing is the prohibition against marijuana is the only possible reason this theory could be true. There is nothing in marijuana that would make its users seek a harder drug, if marijuana was legalised, regulated and taxed like alcohol and tobacco you would be able to smoke your pot with no way to access harder drugs. Wheras with its current illigal status, to obtain you you need to get into contact with drug dealers, who are just there to make money. So a lot of them will try to convince you to do other drugs if they are also dealers of that drug.

Many people die of drug overdose every week, more then half of them are pot-related.

The LD50 (lethal dosage) for THC (active ingredient in marijuana)  in male rats is 1,270mg/kg (That's for every kilogram of your weight 1.27grams is THC). The usual dosage for THC is around 10-15mg to be 'high'. Doing the maths for rats compared to humans, you would need about 300 grams of pure THC to overdose. That's 30,000 joints (assuming 10mg per joint).

If you can smoke 30,000 joints and overdose on marijuana, i applaud you.

Weed has killed zero people a year, I assume it is only weed-related(Not gang related) deaths, so it is somewhat impressive, although if it is legalized, what stuff will they put in it? They make tabacco probably more deadly than it normally is, how deadly will this stuff be( Not researched how much deadlier tabacco is with all the chemicals).
The only reason that might not happen is because it is useful medically, but they could always sell it in tiers. Recreational grade, full of addictive stuff added, might actually kill people for once. Medical grade, normal stuff, might only be on sale to people who need it.

My father also has a theory, it will not be legallized because gangs are tied too much into politics, they will simply use force to keep it from being legalized. Why you ask? They make huge ammounts of money, and will not wish to lose this, although they might still make money on people to young to buy the drug.

I've never had or seen someone high knowingly though.

I'm for legalization, I just wonder what stuff is going to happen.

Can you just tell me the point of the video? I'd rather not go looking for my password to watch a video.

This is a good point, I never thought about that.

Just want to add to this. LD50's of 50mg or less are considered acutely fatal, so something like 1000 or more mg can't kill you without you resorting to some ridiculous methods like taking in the substance pure. Good luck with that. You might as well go drown yourself or something if you're going to go through all that trouble and money.

Before my uncle died of cancer they told him to smoke it so he would eat.

Sure you can argue it and says it helps (insert disease here) when you take it. But why does it have to be smoked per say?
I'm against having it legalized if you want to help people with it, invent new ways it can be used. Other then going and buying like a pack of cigarettes.

Ahh... I can see it now. Mothers with unwanted children will ruin their kid's life even more by smoking pot all the time.
