Author Topic: So I've recently picked Oblivion up, again  (Read 994 times)

And I'm usually not into getting any mods for any game like it, but I've gone through the actual story a few times, and I'd like to try the game with some mods.

Are there any that you might recommend?

OOO is a good mod I have heard. Gets rid of the "monsters-level-up-with-you" style gameplay and adds a whole bunch more content.

There are also loads of various graphical updates that increase the texture resolutions (for better IQ) or lower the number of polygons in the models(for better performance).

There was one mod I tried that was really professionally done....you'd have thought it were an official addon. Called "The Spires" or something like that. Adds a whole bunch of new locations and associated quests. New species too. You have to be a high level though to survive it.

chuck norris, i dunno i have the Xbox 360 version

Yeah, I downloaded The Spires right before I saw this, and I read some comments about it. It sounds awesome.

I'll go ahead and look for OOO, and the updates could be of use. Thanks.

The TES Nexus has quite a few mods and a top 100 list

The USEP has a recommended Mods page

Great starting points

which is better (when considering the available mods)

Morrowind or Oblivion.

Morrowind or Oblivion.

It depends on how you want the game to be like
But morrowind also has mod's to make it like oblivion
And oblivion has a mod that puts morrowind in it as well as mod's that make it more like it

It depends on your option

But I do miss morrowinds glass armor :(

I remember that stuff, it looked so awesome to be covered in emerald armor. :D

Man I feel like picking up Oblivion again just for those mods, it actually looks interesting with them

I use a mod that redoes the leveling system. Instead of leveling from sleeping, you gradually gain attributes every few skill increases. Attributes are based on the governing skill. This takes out the micro managing required to make a good end game character.
