You randomly unlock weapons and hats. but the chance varies some people have yet to unlock something while others have unlocked a few things

I personally like the new unlock system it makes you actually play the game instead of just farming/unlocking achievements. and plus people actually play other classes.

At least it's better then a MMO style shop
