Whats going on with minecraft? Website wont load and when I play it from the exe it just dies, the background goes all black. HELP :C

Actually it's when the Minecraft site forgets up and you're getting 502 Bad Gateway errors. It can't auth you with the server so you can't sign in or connect to SMP servers (if you're already signed in).

I was assuming that was the cause, because Minecraft.net has been up all day for me. I've woken up at around 6:15AM EST.
However the Minecraft forums are being a bit slow for me.
