Minecraft Megathread; yeah its update 1.12 big whoop what about it

So I got a really good start and by the second night had a full iron armor and diamond pick. I struck a vein of 8 diamonds and was on my way to the surface when I noticed cobblestone I didnt remember planting. I break open the wall and am swarmed by skeletons. I don't survive more than 3 seconds. :(

How do people build such humongous builds in minecraft? I have been playing a save for 38 minecraft days and here I am with a rather small mine in comparison and a puny castle. Ill post pics e I can load it. Mods broke.

Cool, gold's faster. Used it against stone and it was mined as fast as netherstone.

Its called Lapis Lazuli, its a blue dye for wool blocks so you can make blue wool blocks.
