Minecraft Megathread; yeah its update 1.12 big whoop what about it

In minecraft SMP, anyone else have trouble crafting certain objects, like glowstone blocks? Because it won't let me. I don't have any mods, and it works fine in Singleplayer. I also just got Better Than Wolves, which has the same problem only in SMP, which may not have compatibility. Anyone else getting this problem/know how to fix this? I tried google but couldn't find anything.

Are you aware it was reduced from 3x3 to 2x2?

it works fine in Singleplayer.

I'd try updating the server executable (or executable jar file) if you're the one hosting it, if not, ask the host to update it.

I'm well aware of that. lemme describe the problem a bit more.
Alright, it shows I can take it, (crafting 3x3 bench or inv 2x2) but when I try to, it basically bounces back to the place where you can grab it. Before anyone asks/says its lag, it isn't.

I've tried to. Assuming that you mean downloading the latest from minecraft's website. (assuming that your assuming I have minecraft_server)

This wouldn't change anything (I don't think so anyways,) I have no idea why it would be doing this to you then.

You'd expect that Microsoft would want to compete with Sony (Portal 2) by adding that.
Whatever.Except that you can run it very well on a $300 system.
My dad bought a $400 computer that can only run it on fast with a short render distance.
Everyone who complains about it being added to Microsoft's console is an idiot.
There is absolutely no way that it will affect you, and even then, not negatively.
Notch is getting plenty of $$$ for this, and anyone against it is essentially wishing for him to have less money.

I have no problem with Notch expanding his game, I just don't think it will be much of a hit.  I guess because when I think of Xbox, I think of a bunch of FPS games that overrun the servers, and people unwilling to be outgoing with their games.  I use Xbox, yeah.  But that's just what I think/
