True story:
Once i was jorneying along, when it got dark. So I dug into a hill a bit, covered it up and put a bed and some torches down. I was at low health but glad I wasn't going to be killed today, so I got it bed.
Then proceded to be woken up by a zombie and killed ;_;

There's a bug with the beds that causes zombies to still spawn.

It hasn't happened since 1.5.0, so i think it was just a bug.

It's not a bug, when monsters can come into a 2 block radius around your bed they wake you up and attack you.
It can't be a creeper that wakes you up.
The radius disregards walls, bedrock or not.
