How can I make this into a retractable bridge? I have a walk-through place under, I've been messing with redstone down there.

why does it have to be that big

Short answer: You don't.

Long answer: That bridge is much too big and would require massive amounts of redstone circuitry to function, if such a large bridge is even possible at all. Moving the bridge down 1 block wouldn't deter anyone from crossing it anyway.

Put water on the open edges, in every slot on both sides. Bring the pistons up, no water. Put them down, instand mote!

I am a genius.

What if I reduced the size from 9x9 to 3x9? Would that work.

A two wide bridge with a surrounding lava moat would work better. The lava would fill in when the bridge is lowered one block high enough to not be completely ugly.

Isn't there a way to play on a server with the same account? I want to play with my dad and teach him about minecraft
never got this confirmed

Pretty sure there isn't one. Ike and his brother have different accounts, I'm assuming because they can't share one.

Okay I have it 2x9 and the edges have lava, how do I set up the redstone and such? Ive tried using repeaters underground but they wont work and I cant figure out a way to toggle the torches from underground.

sticky pistons with long block things on both sides of the walls
urh
nvm

back to making dwarven epicness come to life

It's actually really goddamn easy, you just need a metric crapton of redstone torches and make a sort of upside-down pyramid.

I got everything working but I need to know one thing. Is there a way to extend the current of redstone? I got it working up when I turn the switch the current only reaches one side of the bridge.
