I don't want to make it so I have to flip so many switches. Im new to the game and don't know any other way to make the middle pistons activate other than putting a bunch of redstone torches under it and using a bunch of switches to turn the torches on and off. I can get the outer pistons to come up and down with only one switch but the inner pistons is what I'm having trouble on.

Depends on what row. Vertical or horizontal?
If it's a row, use repeaters for each piston.
