Can anyone participate in that IRC channel?

afdsfsd darkness' server went down

afdsdas feel free to yell at my ISP

back up for like two days

Any Bukkit plugins you think my server should get? Links would be nice.

There needs to be a multiplayer mod that makes combat not stuff.
It's great if you have a good connection.

I'd enjoy the Willcraft server a lot more if it didn't crash every 15 minutes.

I've been able to reconnect within about 10-20 seconds but it looks like it's down for good now.
It is working fine now, i am trying to learn the cause of it. but it seems to be happening to multiple people.

Yeah, spamclicking to stun lock is totally great. Oh yeah, and the tactical options are so many. you can sprint hit, jump crit, sprint jump crit, or just sit under something and hit mobs in the ankles. The combat in minecraft is SO loving GOOD.

if you're complaining, then learn java, make a good mod, get invited to join mojang, then code the whole combat system again.

just complaining is just getting you nowhere.

Wouldn't be so hard if Minecraft didn't have a non-existant modding system...

what would be the advantages of switching to a real engine, and what would be the disadvantages?

Not even worth considering. You'd have to pay, give a bunch of unworthy credit & deal with licensing, and redo most of the game.

what if they made an engine?
besides, don't they have to give credit to java now? I know they don't have to pay though

I'm assuming you don't know what an engine is. An engine is a framework for games that adds functions for things like screen shaking, collision detection, bullet physics and particle simulation and all of that stuff. They already have all of that, wouldn't be worth re-adding it for the purpose of nothing.

Apparently 1.7.3 is coming out today/tomorrow.

if they're adding pistons then I will actually have things to do after mining

apparently they're actually doing a lot of adding stuff, unlike in the previous update
here's the changelog

This whole "xbox version isn't on the same page as the PC version" thing is really confusing
