minecraft is one of those games that isn't interesting to watch unless the person playing is interesting, watching the game being played itself is pretty boring 9 times out of 10

I watch bdoubleO for example because he's silly and tells crazy stories about his life while he plays

I found that book hack the first 1.4.3 change log mentioned. You actually need a modified game to use it, though. I did it on my friends server since he said he was changing from snapshots to mods, AKA not updating for features and such. I simply left a hacked book in a chest of his, with words in it saying "This is why we should keep updated." basically. If we were on 1.4.3, it wouldn't be possible.

Major mods such as Bukkit already patched the exploit in their latest versions. You need a mod to actually do it, but the server can be vanilla. I had a book with all enchantments at level like 27475 or some ridiculous number. The video where I got the thing to test actually showed that that high a level fortune is REALLY bad... Because he hit some grass with the book, and it was just a massive ball of seeds, literally 0.001 FPS.  These could really be game breaking...

Already fixed in 1.4.3 and will be in 1.4.4 (they are doing more bug fixes, can't retroactively fix 1.4.3 since they pre-released it, so 1.4.4).
