I played FTB.
Was to much of a pain to play and to get running.
Too much work i could just play Technic pack and get something similiar.

FTB just looks like technic, why would i want it. the only reason i can think of getting it was if it was updated to the most recent version of minecraft, but even then not that huge of a difference.

the main reason i use it is because it's updated, and the mods have been changed/added more features in the later versions and are generally less glitchy and less overpowered. notably advanced computers/monitors in computercraft, a bunch of nice blocks in RP, decorative and functional, a couple of useful tools, more farming options, and xtrabiomes, which is nice, despite how i've been bitching about my stuffty world. the creative menu is a lot better too.

plus how there are probably more mods in FTB than there are in tekkit. last i checked, FML read 36 mods on tekkit and 53 in ftb.

and yeah, FTB has the portal gun / gravity gun mod, so

Well i have then basicly made my own FTB
i used alot of Technic mods and alot of FTB mods.

maybe it's just my stuffty world but extrabiomes has been more annoying to me than pretty

my forest islands are a bitch to navigate through without a boat, and this other biome nearby has hills that are steep as forget and a pain in the ass to scale and/or get animals through (i had to use a loving gravity gun to get a goddamn cow). not to mention how a village that spawned in said biome was forgeted up beyond belief; the lowest point is probably ~50 blocks from its highest point, the roads are a broken mess, and half of the houses are underground. on a trip to get cows, i just about drowned in quicksand because i didn't even know what it was.
