Author Topic: Minecraft Megathread; yeah its update 1.12 big whoop what about it  (Read 6806176 times)

Me and a friend were trying the mod before it was in a pack and we eventually gave up because of instant death crabs and groups of five cyclopses invading our home space. And something to do with a rainbow dougon or something.

I hit a crab right at my spawn point as soon as I got a sword, hoping it might drop some sort of food. I saw how high their health was but assumed that since they were just crabs and had spawned in the daytime that they would be weak-hitting and just had a lot of health because of their shells. It instantly killed me several times before I could punch it to death.

its pretty much normal minecraft then an assload of grinding to get anywhere

grinding is the worst part of RPGs

I really don't understand why Mojang won't add infinite height. Would it really be that difficult?

But then people will want to build it TALLER.

I want more foliage.
Just went on an awesome hike through the hills with these huge trees and ferns everywhere and lots of shrubs and vines and variety of plants, minecraft has nothing like that :(

Terrafirmacraft has all of that, except plants unless you count ferns or wild fruits and vegetables.

I just want terrain that isn't stuffty and boring.

Beta 1.7.3

I think minecraft has an inherent sadness about it. Back in the beginning it was the lonely feeling of having an entire world of interesting opportunity and nobody to share it with, and now it's the nostalgia of how things used to feel new and interesting. It has nothing to do with the game itself, really, it has more to do with the fact that we always remember the past better than it was.

Set your self some goals for your self to make it less boring? I have a goal to find a npc village. and make an emerald base when I make a beacon.

You know, when people reply to suggestions on the Minecraft forums to include some form of musket or something with "no guns go play cod", I think to myself,

If there was a Call of Duty game in which you ran around shooting people with muskets around the ~1600s, I'd play the stuff out of that.

Although I feel like Fast Reload would be the most common attachment  :cookieMonster:

Guns dont go with minecraft imo.

Guns dont go with minecraft imo.

Any specific reason why?

Not defending guns or anything, but I'd just like to know your reasoning

For some reason seeing pixelated guns in the way Minecraft renders its weapons it just horrible looking to me. Plus I think guns are too advanced for minecraft.

sorry if that doesnt get my point across. I tend to confuse people with my explanations.
