Author Topic: Minecraft Megathread; yeah its update 1.12 big whoop what about it  (Read 7252044 times)

I like the fact that horses are more rare. It would make me value my horse in Survival a lot more. I like the value in things. It's also why I don't really play much on creative.
I can see that perspective, but why not make the horse armor the more valuable part? Decrease its durability to make protecting your horse more of the idea, rather than safeguarding it lest you never find one again.

Even making the horse trainable, increased speed or health or some other buff, would make your horse more valuable than the common herds that roam around.

1.5.2 is here and I'm kinda disappointed :c

I think you mean 1.5.2?

Made an automated biofuel generator for Voltz. Haven't seen it done successfully before, and I love automating things in these mods, so I thought it'd be neat.

Wheat is inserted into and extracted from a crate, and overflow goes back in.

Crates used the same way as with the crusher for biofuel. The battery box is on top of the generator because otherwise, overflow would spew out of the top as well.

Simple clock that can be toggled with a T-Flip-Flop.

I'm really getting sick of these stuffty incremental updates, it's like they're not listening to any fans of the game. It was worse when Notch was the only one in charge because he just developed the game for what he wanted it to be.

So Dinnerbone added coal blocks, which can't be made with charcoal. Smelts 72 items, same as 9 individual coal. I suppose it's best for automated smelting systems.

I forgot to hit post on this, but while I was away from the page, I made this in Snapshot 13w18b:

Cauldrons give off redstone signal from 0-3 depending on how much water is in it. This simple thing I made gives the player another water bucket when the cauldron empties. Now all we need is a way of putting water into a cauldron automatically.

what

if i was developing a game, I would make it how i wanted, not how others wanted it.

Sadly, when you make something you want the public to buy, you have to conform to a certain extent to the wants of the public.

Now all we need is a way of putting water into a cauldron automatically.
I think the best way to accomplish this is to add full-function to the dispenser's activation function, so maybe it can place blocks or activate levers. If it could activate levers, it would be much easier to make a toggle button.
To make it fair, though, to right-click levers it should require some device inside the dispenser.

And ignore everything the people buying your game wanted?

Oh... Dinnerbone says Name Tags will be a reward... So generated in chests... Meaning you can't craft like 500 and name everything in your farm... Damn it...

WELL I do have something to say. Beacons work while under carpets. You'll still need a path to sky above it, but since you can also put carpet on glowstone and even glass panes...

Edit: With my cauldron design, I realized I could replace the two quarts blocks the redstone is on with more droppers. After the initial placement, they only activate when empty as well. So you can put 27 buckets on water into this system if you feel stupid and it should keep it stocked. I think it might be more reliable with just two droppers, though. Noticed some oddness with it.

So most of my friends from school bought Minecraft last week...Not to play vanilla mind you, but FTB :P

Maybe that says something about the way minecraft is going
