I hate people who out an excessive amount of TNT in their trap.

Just set up a trap on my friends server.
He has a hidden piston door and to activate you need to step on a stone pressure plate on gravel.
I got rid of the wiring under the pressure plate and made a giant pit of TNT. After that I put TNT under the gravel so when he steps on it he blows to pieces.
How much TNT? You don't want to blow up his base :(

The problem is you spoil yourself with the ease mods provide, and suddenly you can't take the vanilla processes anymore. I like playing vanilla, keeping up with features. It's universal. When you remove the limitations through mods, you lose that sense of accomplishment. Sure, you feel accomplished doing things in the mods, but they unravel the feelings of "Wow, I made something awesome." that keep you interested.

For instance, that auto-water-bucket dropper I had on the last page. Simple, but functional, and for vanilla. I'm proud to have put the old concepts together to make a useful setup. Mods remove that sense of success in creating such things, because they remove the limitations you'd strive to overcome.
Mods like Bibliocraft and Computercraft are pretty cool. :D

I love my new computer.

bibliocraft is one of those that you could see getting a shot at being vanilla if the devs were feeling extremely generous, computercraft not so much.
and literally just redpower2 makes an exponential increase in the possibilities by having actual vanilla-y machines.

I love my new computer.

Screenshots mean nothing for performance. Wanna shoot us a vid? :D

It was more of an accomplishment for me to be able to run the mod at all jumping from my old laptop lol. I'm getting about 30fps on a normal world.

I am now _KittyHawk_ ingame.

Just thought i'd share.

That wasn't Mojang's goal. They want to clear as many bugs as possible to improve gameplay and avoid exploits.
Sometimes unexpected things show up and you should embrace them rather then removing them.

pretty sure most redstone things are bugs

Well, you never know if this bug would cause problems in the game's development. Even if other bugs stayed, perhaps Mojang didn't want cart-pushing to stay.

Depends. if it's one of those water + torch contraptions, then it's a bug.
