Minecraft Megathread; yeah its update 1.12 big whoop what about it

It's the style I've always used. I wish they added something to take the place of wool though. If adobe was able to be colored that would look really nice.

I really suck at adding variety. Normally I build houses spaced out but I want to try and make a dense city.


If anyone wants to screw around with building message me. I've been hosting when I build but right now it's just building a city in creative.

Adobe is a stuffty building material. Yeah, it's structurally sound, but it looks awful. I think wattle and daub is what your replicating with the wool, and it'd easily be implementable into Minecraft.

Does anyone know how to fix this in FTB?


My friend's server is running FTB Ultimate. At first, when I tried to connect, it told me that I was missing TC : 3.1.13_030, which took me a while to figure out that it was talking about Traincraft. So I install that into the modpack and then when I try and connect it gives me this error.

So what can I do to fix this? I googled a bit and I couldn't really find anything. Thanks for any help.

Yeah wattle and daub is exactly what I was talking about. I think the texture on adobe or hardened clay or whatever it's called looks better than wool. Also the lack of minecraft adding materials that make buildings look better has been seriously lacking, so I doubt anything better is going to come along anytime soon.

are there multiple versions of the modpack?
if so, are you using the same one as the server?

ask him to replicate the steps he did in installing the mods to make sure you actually have the right combination installed. also, make sure he didn't forget with configs, because if you did it right, it's his fault.

he ended up switching to Mindcrack and that worked when I tried to join so yay

Anyone here get the special skin pack on the Xbox Live edition of Minecraft?
They made a special skin pack giving all the skins party hats and crowns with a special cake cape.
I think you can't download it anymore though.

Edit: Snapshot 13w19a is out. Hardened Clay can now be dyed if you want a less bright alternative to wool. Donkey and Mules now have inventories (after right clicking with a chest) when the player right clicks on the donkey, which will also show its name in the GUI. Charcoal, Coal Blocks, and Lapis Blocks were retextured. Charcoal now looks like someone rubbed coal in turds, while coal blocks actually look like someone crammed coal together and lapis has a fancy edge. Finally, the mods spawning in groups was returned.

You only get stained hardened clay. I guess, as he said before, he'd have to make colored versions of EVERYTHING wooden if he did it with wood, so he did this instead. Still makes me sad. D:

i really REALLY wish that horses were controlled client-sided

sure, it could make it slightly easier for people to hack teleport around on horses, but if you know what you're doing, you would catch them, ne?

and its really annoying when you jump 10 blocks, then freeze, then jump another 10 blocks
