Author Topic: Minecraft Megathread; yeah its update 1.12 big whoop what about it  (Read 6711161 times)

Then again, why is everyone freaking out like its the end of minecraft? Every time a company buys a product, everyone freaks out and says its a bad thing.

[Remembers what happened to Rareware]

Because it's Microsoft.
Because it's Minecraft.

Normally I wouldn't agree with freaking out over either but the two just do not seem to mix.

My issue with it is that Mojang doesn't need Microsoft to be successful, so why are they doing it?

Age of Minecraft III

Guys what if Badspot bought Minecraft
Blockcraft: the search for more diamonds.

like i said in the other thread, tho, they probably won't kick out the current devs if the buy goes through, and they may even leave them alone to work for the most part, but it's still kinda scary knowing they're at the head of it all

They already have stufftons of money and a future of even more stufftons of money.

You guys ready for tomorrow?

They already have stufftons of money and a future of even more stufftons of money.

SEK is only 28% of a US dollar
two billion SEK is only 280 million dollars
which is nothing compared to the 2.5 billion Microsoft is buying the company for

and that's their revenue
as far as the profit goes, 900 million SEK is only 125 million USD
and that 2.5 billion is gonna be entirely profit

so what Microsoft is giving them is far more than they can even dream of making

I seem to be having performance issues with minecraft lately, I've tried upgrading my java, reinstalled minecraft, changed the ram usage (Varying from 4-1 gigs)  but I still get around 40 fps moving around and lag spikes loading chunks.

Before someone asks what I'm running, it's an AMD R9 270X Graphics card and an AMD FX 6100 six core processor on minecraft 1.8 and these are my settings

Also clicking outside the window minecraft is in will crash it most of the time (Like it did while I was making this)

only recommendation is try getting optifine ultra first, see if that helps. vanilla mc is notoriously bad about resource management and rendering.

Sadly optifine isn't available for 1.8 yet

oh
well i dunno then, that's mostly my solution

try turning off mipmap, my pc used to shut off due to overheating but making mipmap 0 seems to have stopped that problem, and it doesn't totally ruin how minecraft looks
