Author Topic: Minecraft Megathread; yeah its update 1.12 big whoop what about it  (Read 6710294 times)

It was with shaders mod but I used a different persons shaders, with my new X99 build I have been experimenting with various ultra to extreme shader packs

Sadly I don't remember which shader set I actually used for that screenshot

Since that screenshot I have since expanded my facility and is now getting prepped for a nuclear reactor to go in

I'm making my bi-yearly return to Minecraft and I'm looking for some recommendations for mods

Specifically, anything that adds elements of exploration and progression without getting into magical or futuristic territory

Not interested at all in TerraFirmaCraft and I'm not really in the market for anything as "technologically advanced" as Thermal Expansion

Currently have: Tinkers' Construct and various modules, Natura, Immersive Engineering (which seems to have next to no documentation, unfortunately), and Deadly World

Aether II: Genesis of the Void
Hardcore Ender Expansion
Roguelike Dungeons
Archimedes' Ships (may be a bit buggy)
GrowthCraft

Also, this mod doesn't add much in the way of progression, but I adore it in vanilla-based packs
Redstone Paste

That's because there's an in-game book! Simply combine a standard book with a lever to build it.

EDIT: Railcraft

EDIT 2: Storage Drawers

These are good, I'd like to use Aether but I feel like it's a little too "magical" for what I'm going for, at least HEE just expands on stuff that's already in the game

That is...really something that should be noted somewhere, wow

Not too keen on farming or Archimedes but Railcraft and Storage Drawers are great ones I forgot about

That reminds me, I'd forgotten to give a link to Not Enough Items. It's absolutely essential for looking up recipes in mods and needs codechickencore to function.

I've been using NEI ever since it replaced TMI to the point that I forget to even mention it when listing mods, but thanks anyway

I couldn't help it, but i decided to start rebuilding my favorite childhood game Luigi's Mansion on Minecraft Xbox One Edition.

Are the popular mods ever going to be updated to  1.9.X? The fact many of the big mods are still on 1.7.10 is disappointing, its been about a year or two for most and any updated version just gets delayed over and over again.

On the bright side at least shaders mod is now integrated with optifine so now its only two mods I need to worry about, and I can finally use 1.8.8! The bad news is I have to update my heavily modified painterly pack again, and that's annoying... and I cant use the customizer anymore because of how modified it is...

You guys have any recommendations for a 1.8.8 resource pack? Aside from that I'm Looking for something like the original minecraft textures but with an industrial or modern look added to it.
