Author Topic: Minecraft Megathread; yeah its update 1.12 big whoop what about it  (Read 6769879 times)

I can't figure out how to smelt things anymore without the Flint. I tried lava and they just disappear :C
Gold will melt in extremely hot lava, but not in cooler lava.
Silver will melt in lava.
Copper has a similar melting point as gold; but tin will melt in lava. Tin and copper make gold
I'm talking about real life, not Minecraft.

You have to make a furnace and put some fuel sources(coal or wood) in it and then put what you want to be cooked/smelted.

How do you make the furnace? Just like, dig a hole and put wood in it or something? I'm still confuzzled.

Think of a stone chest.

Here's my place after modifying it for night-time use and protection, had to make so many torches.

I hope you didn't waste your time and used a map editor.

If you're talking to me, I don't even have a map editor for Minecraft. I build everything by hand.

No, I built everything by hand.

What map setting is that jsk?

Looks like flat, normal
Correct, though huge.
I might start a new adventure, having to use a map editor to create a lake nearby made it not so fun :(.
Plus it gets a bit boring to look at.

Are there any caves on flat levels?

If it is, I can't get water ever.

Yes, I first used NBT Forge to find water, (and there's always air pockets/caves in places) but seeing that the highest water supply is like 10 blocks down, I thought I might as well make a lake. I called the save Adventure01, so I guess I'll make 02 soon on a floating map or something.

Careful jsk sheepies eat crops :o
(well i think they do)

no they just trample over them and kill the farmland
