In other news, Powered Minecarts and all the stuff needed really hogs resources from the stuff I've read. Lotsa iron.

All you need to do is craft a minecart, then put it on the crafting menu again, then put a furnace on top of it.

That's it! we can have a rope (6 string lined in 2 three string rows) and then you connect the cart to a pig with a saddle and watch it go while you ride him. the only thing that would suck though is that pigs are not controllable
