Minecraft is still in alpha, but is rapidly nearing beta. I've only got one more feature to add; multiplayer support.

Saving stuff when you leave, server sided chests, etc.

Inventories are broken and don't save if you leave or crash.
People were waiting for the update that fixes them.
Notch releases update.
Notch says it wasn't invent update to let people know.
Dropshock also says it wasn't invent update.

Bugs I hate, in order:

1. Inventories don't save when you leave/the server implodes
2. Signs/doors are client-sided
3. Things disappear when you get too far away
