Minecraft Megathread; yeah its update 1.12 big whoop what about it

Surround a flammable block with non-flammables.
Now check if there is qwood within a 5 block radius.
No?
Then light the block in the middle on fire.
Now you can optionally remove the non-burnable blocks.
Voila infinite fire.

I found out what I did wrong, didnt put cobblestone on the bottom

Tyler, you DO know that the portal will need a bottom row of obsidian, right?

Because you will also need to put a fire on the bottom row. :P

It was a gamemode proposed long ago, around the time Survival Test came out. It was supposed to be a mode where zombies and the other mob would attack you during a certain time, with time to build before. Possibly with the ability of creepers detonating close to the blocks or some mob capable of destroying them.
