In older versions
When you cut down a tree
The leaf's slowly disappear and sometimes drop saplings
It's basically something to not waste your time cutting down leafs to get saplings to replant trees.

Althought notch deserved that long run for success after it went on the minecraft blog, i seriously dislike the idea of having to buy every mode instead of all of it being supplied in a single purchase.

I'm not talking about myself here, if i don't have to buy them if i was in alpha, then fine, but i'm talking about the newer players who'd buy it in beta.
It would be a nice reward and all, but it just doesn't feel right for a game like Minecraft to have expansions.

Okay some people at Facepunch cleared this up. The thing about the contract was to appease Notch's Lawyers, so they have THE ABILITY to charge for an update. It doesn't mean there WILL be, it's a "just-in-case" thing.

I don't understand how any one could complain about the fact that Beta buyers will have to pay in the future. If you didn't want to do that, you should have loving bought it during alpha.

And as yuki pointed out, just because something is being done so that he can charge you legally, doesn't mean he will.
