Technically, you could build a giant prism and fill it with TNT/redstone, chests and blocks. by pressing a certain switch, you could cause the tnt to explode, leaving pickupable blocks/items in a waterfall convey.

However, TNT may get rid of some of the items...

The only thing we need is for the dispensers to accept items if you drop it on them.

So you can make little dungeons and supply it with ammo from another place.
