I have my storage nearly complete with every block. Alrough I am forgetting exotic blocks.
How do I obtain birch in a pre-birch-update world? No I will not traverse 5 million chunks to get to the border.
Can certain saplings grow birch?

Every single sapling I've planted (a lot) has grown the normal trees.
