Author Topic: Minecraft Megathread; yeah its update 1.12 big whoop what about it  (Read 6771432 times)

I'm positive that HD texture packs make the game harder to run, right?
It's not that hard if you're running it on at least a medium-end desktop graphics card.  Higher end cards just run it better.

What would be the highest possible maximum resolution for an Nvidia 6150, and at what render distance?

The resolution to play?  I'd stick it with the default that Minecraft puts it in.

Render distance?  Maybe medium.

I had a long and sad journey in my new wolf world.

This is my current house. I started it today, took about 15 minutes to make.

It's off a cliff. Mainly so I can run around looking to add to my wolf pen.

This is the sad part. Along the way, two of my wolves died, both of fall damage. If you can't read the signs, 1st says
"RIP
FALCON
GOODNIGHT, SWEET PRINCE"
And the 2nd says
"RIP
ROMAN
He was there the entire way."
Falcon died of fall dmg as I was climbing and Roman's story is a lot cooler.
I was mining cobble to make my floor when I began getting raped by 3 zombies. I was lagging pretty badly and I couldn't aim at all. Luckily, I hit one once with my iron sword and Roman came bounding from the hills to save me. But then, the fight lead to a cliff where he fell off. I killed the final zombie angrily and hopped down hoping to find him alive.
Sadly, the most I can say is he's missing. His body was never found.

Thus leads to my current wolf. His name is Walker. I made this pen to assure his safety, although I have a feeling one day when I go out I'll forget to make him sit and he'll teleport to me and we'll both die. :o
Wolves + Heights = not good

hnng
we were talking about HD texture packs
that should imply that I meant texture resolution
because I did

Ah.

Texture resolution in Minecraft shouldn't ever hit above 64x64 because IMO then it'd start looking ugly.

=/
happy 4000th post by the way
:o

Also, I want to put snow (like the covering, not the snow block) in my pen so wolves spawn but I don't know how to spawn it.
I use Webchest to get items since INVedit doesn't like my computer, and I can only find snow blocks. :c

Just tried that pack.

It looks ugly.

don't like the way "realistic" minecraft looks

Tried that pack, bleh. I like the Animal Crafting pack so much better <3

I like the top one more.

I have no doggies :<

Just like 30 sheep who keep spawning no matter how many times I kill them >:I
