It's like my suggestion wasn't hard enough already  :cookieMonster:
lolololol

Holy stuff I just thought about that.

He better come up with some way for snow to be removed forever.
Torches.

Torches.
I don't want to put random torches all around my city.

glass dome?

glass dome?
What's that going to do? I don't want snow to actually accumulate on the ground, I wouldn't mind it not sticking, but just snowing.

i imagine a glassdome blocking off snowfall

 O'what else do you imagine?

What does the future hold for me?

I just started working on my circle tower thing again and its pretty cool I think the wood looks nice.

"I was thinking about what the new expansions could be, and I started brainstorming about an idea for one myself. Explorecraft.

It starts off as you download it, both Minecraft and Explorecraft have separate launchers, but they both use the .minecraft directory file. Explorecraft (Or EC) would have the icon of a sword instead of a grass block.

When it starts off, you have the options "Start game", "Load game from Minecraft", "Multiplayer" and "Options". Starting a map doesn't instantly spawn you on it. Instead, it asks you to load a character texture.

When you load it, it prompts you to name your character. Once named, your character is added to a map. You can have five characters each map. Once started a map, you spawn next to a tent. The first item you start with is the tent. Sleeping in the tent sets you spawn location in it, heals you completely and passes the night. Left-clicking on it takes it down and puts it in your inventory.

The inventory consists of 3 different tabs. "Items", "Equipment" and "Materials". You CAN mine blocks, but only dirt, sand, gravel, wood, wool and soft stone.

You can only hold 5 blocks of each, and that's it. Each material block can be turned into raw materials. There's a crafting 3x3 table in your inventory used for crafting materials and traps.

Dirt can be turned into mud, which can be used to put out fire, set mud traps or make a mud wall. Mud walls dry up after a random time between 6 seconds and two minutes. The reason for walls is that once you pick up a block, you cannot put it down unless it's a wall or something like that.

Sand can be turned into glass by heating it under a pan and fire (Later discussed). It can also be turned into wet sand which can be placed down as a half-block that you sink under.

Gravel can be turned into shale wall. It's the third-strongest wall. You can also turn it into flint which can start the pan and fire.

Wool can be turned into string, used in fishing poles. You can also make wool clothes, or a tent. Burnable.

Wood can be turned into wood wall. Second-strongest wall. Can also be turned into a door. Wood is used in making tents, or making a fishing pole.

Soft stone can be turned into stone wall. The strongest wall. You can also turn it into pebbles, which you can make a half-block called "pebble walkway", and enemies won't spawn on it.

Items are easily explained. You start out with a tent, a sword, a pan and fire and six torches. The pan and fire is used to cook things that you get.

The sword is your first weapon. In order to keep it from breaking, you have to use a repair hammer which is found from enemies or chests.

Most items would come from Minecraft, like the porkchops, fish and things like that.

The interactive items would be like the book, which can be used to write in, the torch, which provides light by holding it, and even a longbow, which shoots farther than normal bows but has less accuracy.

Friendly mobs would be the ones we have now, and ones like rabbits, fish, birds and two-pixels big bugs..

Neutral mobs would include hogs, bears, hawks and even big cats like lions and bobcats.

You would also have a tameable kitty that follows you, but does not attack anything. It's tamed by giving it meat of any sort. There would be a part of the GUI that says "Team", once you get a new team member. You control what they do, and what their behavior is (I.E. Passive, agressive, defensive ETC).

Next you would have the evil mobs. These would include were-wolves, bees, bats, snakes, alligators, fire slime, Human (lv 1, 2, 3 and 4. The higher the level of the mob, the more damage they do, and the better drops they have), lava monsters (Blobs of lava that come out of lava, catch anything fire and go back in.) and mimic-chests.

Next comes to Equipment. From worst to best equipment grades:

Cloth
Leather
Gold
Wood
Iron
Steel
Diamond

The articles of armor include Head, upper and lower chest, shoulders, arms, pants and boots.

Equipment can be found from drops, or in chests.

Equipment also has trinket slots which can hold Rings, necklaces and even brooches. Why? For + Skills. Some could make you faster, or have a faster attack speed or even jump higher.

Then you have weapons, which obey the grades above. The weapons would be:
Sword
Hammer
Axe
Spear
Staff
Bow
Longbow

Now, randomly spawned landmarks would be a pain to script, I know. But they would include ruins, underground dungeons, fortresses, caverns with chests and towers.

The sole base of the game is to adventure, anyways"

I'm writing out the rest of the suggestion so WHAT DO YOU THINK ANYWAYS

That's a really good suggestion, you should send it to notch.

Has this ever happened to anyone before?

I was exploring and i found this sand on the beach in a pit that was all sunken down, and there was cobblestone exposed beneath and a dungeon.

the spawner and chest was buried too

Yes infact it happened to me about 4 times, one of my beach dungeons is a skeleton farm as indicated on a map I posted earlier here.
