There are a few mods that can optimize the game, giving it around a +5 or 10 FPS boost.
I'm not sure if that would make a difference or not.

Lame Joke much?

Minecraft needs a more in-depth nature simulation.

Water erodes dirt over days of flowing on it, rivers are created with excessive rain, forests grow on their own along with a few other types of plants, droughts can occur, killing crops, volcanoes are created by naturally elevating lava, that pushes the surface upward, plus a bunch of a different mobs that are affected by each other.

I would love a game that had accurate world/nature simulation.
