I suggested on the Aether thread that when you go to start a new world, you have a choice between spawning in the Aether or Normal World.

they poof away and teleport somewhere else (behind you usually)

You must be doing something wrong if they aren't coming back. Sometimes they might teleport outside the dungeon or in different rooms, but they'll always teleport back to you and fight until death

That's the problem. I never hit them. Nothing happens. The only thing that happens is they poof away. They don't get hurt. And they disappear. My sword doesn't lose any healt.

That's stupid, it's like choosing if you can spawn in the nether first; you won't get the right materials and if I'm not mistaken you'd have to hack to go to the normal world in you spawn in the Aether with no portal.

Just hack in the glowstone and water bucket if you really want to go there straight away.

You can get buckets in dungeons.

There is natural water springs.

No hacking. I just got to the normal plane of existence.

not the "clouds" but like mist, when you poured it it would go around like the water but instead of flowing it would just spread out around the center, like a spooky or enchanting fog.
