Would be useless. I suspect modders will wait until the full "official" 1.9.

2 New Mobs in the nether (Blaze and Magma Cube) and two others in new biomes (Mooshroom and one other, possibly the Snow Golem) [1]
New items from nether mobs (Blaze Rod, Ghast Tear, Gold Nugget, Nether Wart)
Animal Breeding
Lilypads

Villagers of 6 different types
Nether Brick
Nether Brick Fence
Nether Brick Stairs
Nether Ruins
Blaze
Magma Cube
Mooshroom
Snow Golem
Mushroom Biome
Blaze Rod
Ghast Tear
Nether Wart
Lilypads
Swamps have different colored water to fit.
Snowy Biomes appear again.
Endermen no longer grab blocks that are usually made only by the player.

That's my screenshot. I found the texture file for a villager Steve in the game files, and Audax made me apply that to actual Villagers. That was the result.

Yeah, but in no time the "official" 1.9 will be released. It makes sense though, since it's basically Part 2 of the Adventure Update.

I can't seem to find a program that can import Minecraft models. I want to try importing the Villager model so I can check how textures look on it.

I don't want to keep going through the whole process and restarting the game over and over just to check the texture.


There's new splash text "Lives in a pineapple under the sea!" Definitely means they were either based off Squidward, or they later realized the model was turning out to look like him.
