i have four gigs of ram three dedicated to minecraft still not getting anywhere near 40 fps on normal distance unless i look up.

It sure seems like the only people with problems are people with small amounts of RAM.
You should not play games on a computer with 1 gig.

I have not done anything to improve minecraft performance and I get 70-80 fps all the time, even when using hd texture packs and whatnot.
I don't know why it stuffs out on everyone else, my computer is good, but not amazingly great or anything.

i allocated more RAM to minecraft, apparently java was getting minimum RAM before. now i get 89 fps at best and 28 at worst in ssp. the smp servers all suck so i really don't feel like going and checking them.

I finally figured out after like six days that 1.9 doesn't work with Java 6 and I just had to download Java 7.

The only reason i don't play creative all the time is because I get more satisfaction from mining minerals and rock and cutting down trees to build my structures.
