It shouldn't be called a blood moon though, since Terraria already has that name.
terraria didn't create the phrase lol

Sounds terrible. Get a mod or play hardcore if you're addicted to everything being ruined every 10 seconds.
EVERYBODY FEELS THE PAIN
besides if you wanna play in your own little world dont go to the nether or play on peaceful/creative

captain you are dumb.

Notch will not implement what you are suggesting. Or at least not in the way you suggest.

These things would only happen on hard if at all, Minecraft is a game built around building (lol redundant sounding phrase) not around fighting off monsters.
There will not be a large scale thing in game that destroys your builds. the reason minecraft is as popular as it is are the amazing builds people make.
Implementing a mandatory feature that destroyed those builds would never happen.

I think that Notch needs to pay more attention to the nether for a little.
Only reason I ever go there is to get glowstone, and when I get about 40, I never go back.
There should be ores that spawn in the nether, like they do in earth.
Also, I think an aether type place needs to be created, with non-earth blocks and mostly friendly mobs. I would actually live there, no one in their right mind would live in the nether.

I agree.

also giants will be able to spawn

Those could possibly be one of the new boss mobs they talk about, but no one knows. Just that apparently that thing is still in the game files, and it'd be a good boss. Noot for your situation, though.

1.9 and 1.10 are going to have a lot more. New drops he'll purpose usefully, some already are. Nether Brick Fence doesn't burn, I used it to line this guy's lava moat with Snow Golems to attract enemies into it (such as spiders). Nether Brick and Nether Brick Stairs are useful in decor and such. You can't naturally make Nether Brick yet, but I believe you can mine it from Nether Ruins and I know they can be crafted into the other forms.

Rename the villagers to Squidward imposters.  :cookieMonster:

Is it possible to have two versions of minecraft? Like one exe that is 1.8 and one that is 1.9?

rename or move the 1.8 jar and install 1.9
then when you wish to switch, rename the 1.9 and re-rename 1.8

it won't be mandatory, dat would just be silly
