They're usually connected by caves, although figuring out the path to them is annoying. The point is they're a hidden stronghold against others, so visibility only goes as far as Jeb's debug towers.

Am i the only one that thinks strongholds are good for making badass bases or a prison since they are so huge?

Strongholds are labyrinths. The problem with Strongholds now is that people will actually care to find them since they have indestructible Ender portals they'd want to explore, so setting up base in one can be hazardous.

I still stand by the idea that Endermen we know were tainted by The Nether, considering their particles, and that actual ones will be white or something and less annoying.

The Endermen you see are Exiles. They were sent to the Overworld for being corrupt and for the use Nether Mayjiks (Black Magic) as punishment.

At that exact spot, you're in a large cave with two large lit areas at either end. These lit areas: Two large libraries. The cave goes RIGHT over the tops of two libraries. It looks amazing, but I can't get a good screenshot.

Apparently, Sky Dimension/The Ender chunks only spawn in SMP Overworld. This deep water is littered with chunks of Sky Dimension. Notice how lava is flowing out of the sides, this isn't just chunk errors.

One of them intersected a Stronghold.
