Author Topic: Minecraft Megathread; yeah its update 1.12 big whoop what about it  (Read 7017114 times)

notch will half-ass it at best lol

Well, all the pictures make it look overly complex. :cookieMonster:

I think Notch is supposed to be focusing on bug fixes right now, I doubt he'll implement that boat thing.

If you read even a little of it, which is all I did, you'd read the whole part where he acknowledges this would probably end up it's own update if at all. It is never said "This must be done before full release!" It is just an idea for how big boats should be handled. That's like saying "We made this new toothbrush that can eliminate brushing forever!" and going "Well, we can't get the product in by next quarter, so we're probably not going to make it at all." Of which, the response would be "Well obviously, I'm just saying this is amazing and we should work on it."

CODE FREEEEZE

No no, FEATURE freeze. That means all they do is work WITH THE CODE to fix all the bugs they've accumulated and neglected to fix. Then, when the full game comes out, back to neglecting bugs and stuff to their heart's content.

Where is the version of SMP's Revival that includes textures for IndustrialCraft

Just upgraded to 1.9, probably permanently at this point.
I want to start a new survival world and I want it to not be forgeted with world gen.

why didnt you gut it first?..

it is gutted, i just left some stringy stuff in there that i had to get out with the knife

That boat thing seems awesome. We should do something pirates

why didnt you gut it first?..
Actually, professional pumpkin carvers leave a small amount of the flesh in.
It makes a nicer contrast when lit up.

In software jargon, a code freeze is essentially a tight set of restrictions placed on what can be added to game code, with a focus on polishing, bug-fixing and streamlining the game instead of adding more features. This assures that Minecraft will be released as a smooth, mostly (or entirely!) bug-free game.

Shadow of Israphel appears to be the last step before heading into what can only be described as "that weird part of YouTube"

I keep cautiously peering into some of the related videos out of pure curiosity and find the strangest things

Because people are Camwhores and want their videos to be seen so they copy and paste tags from popular videos
