Does Aether work with Optifine? When I create a new world after saving chunks it has a black screen. Help.

i hear it works somewhat just not with the autosave feature.
well, i haven't used optifine since 1.8.1 since it doesn't work nice with my mods.

Can someone help me? I posted this on the minecraft forums and nobody has replied yet. I tried installing modloader, modloaderMP, AudioMod, PlayerAPI, Shockahpi, Optifine, and Aether but minecraft crashes.

Whats does this stuff mean?

re-download minecraft. You probably have residual mod files in places other than the bin that are loving with your current mods.

what order did you install the mods in?

it goes like this:

mod loader
modloader mp
audiomod
shockahpi
player api
aether
optifine

that way it should work (modloader first then modloader mp ect) if it still doesn't work then i don't know.

do what i said and delete the whole minecraft folder. you've forgeted it up and you need to get a fresh minecraft folder, not a new minecraft.jar, but a whole new minecraft download. the mods have things in other places, and unless you've installed with an installer that comes with an uninstaller, it's much faster to get a new minecraft. just remember to delete the META.INF file.

try a fresh install like fred said, install the mods in the order I said. just leave out optifine and see if it makes a difference. also, does your modloader.txt say any errors?
