man, i really miss the 1.7 terrane gen, it made land that was so desireable to live on, now it's once in a blue moon that i find a good  place to live. only thing i wish is that i could get melon seeds legit in a 1.7.3 world, but whatever.

All I know of Technic Pack is a few videos by Lewis and the series Duncan/Lalna is doing on it, so I'm a bit weary of someone stealing all my stuff since I barely have an idea of what I'm doing as is. How do I make a personal safe?

Alright well I guess that's your opinion and you're entitled to it, they're a tad over-the-top when it comes to silliness sometimes and not everyone likes that

I'd urge you to give them a second chance though, maybe try some of their other Let's Plays or a Minecraft Mod Review

Technic now installs itself as a standalone install of MC with everything pre-installed. It still uses Minecraft's regular login, it's not bypassing the normal stuff. Point being, they don't keep up to date with the latest versions of the game. It's 1.1, it doesn't work with 1.2.3.

ah. thanks. well i figured that out shortly after installing, i was a bit surprised how zombies were coming straight at me instead of pathing around stuff. of course, theres no problem with that. infact, i've never been so immersed in minecraft, except for on my first ever world.
