since people suck at installing mods here's the simplest tutorial

get modloader

download the actual thing

put all that stuff in a folder called "mod_" BECAUSE THATS WHAT IT SAYS

put the folder into the main minecraft.jar thing and then you DELETE META INF

MODLOADER IS INSTALLED

now for mod folders that consist of .class files? Just put that nasty stuff into the minecraft jar

Notice a new folder in the main folder called mods? yeah if the tutorials for the mods call for putting a folder into that, do it

Does a mod have a readme folder? READ IT

Does it have a tutorial in-thread? READ IT

No luck? http://www.youtube.com/

There's bound to be a tutorial there

Still can't get it right? There's always google

If you don't like using winrar then you use an alternative. No need to pick a stupid fight about programs
