Author Topic: Minecraft Megathread; yeah its update 1.12 big whoop what about it  (Read 6796336 times)

i think this whole "WE'VE CONNECTED SINGLE PLAYER WITH MULTIPLAYER" bullstuff is handicapped. it overcomplicates everything and gives us a stuff load of un needed single player bugs.

the pause thing is a problem because as stated before you can't pause and think OH stuff WHAT JUST HAPPENED or think about how to escape this lava, creeper, horde of enemies or falling to your death

eh, i don't mind the combination myself. this just means they'll be able to fix both singleplayer and multiplayer bugs at the same time and hopefully in the future it'll allow easier multiplayer play since the server is already multiplayer and theoretically people would be able to simply connect and join the game as if they were playing the xbox version.

as stuffty as it is now, i'm sure jeb had good intentions.

:I

okay, how about when selecting a world to play, there's two new options:

Play world in singleplayer and Play world as LAN server

when creating a world, it will be singleplayer by default

good?

Can someone Tweet Jeb this or something

I don't think I'd be able to accept the no-pause thing
I already know I won't be able to accept it.
So you're saying you will completely quit the game if it is implemented?

So you're saying you will completely quit the game if it is implemented?

No, but chances are Mojang will iron out all the problems before 1.3

No, but I'll probably limit my playtime to almost none until it's fixed.

There should be a checkbox and it would say "lan game" or something along the lines of that.
With multiplayer my framerate was decreased by like 10 fps. That's not a problem to most people but when your computer is crap, that's a huge problem.

why don't they take it off Java?

Quote
why the forget haven't they made/bought another engine for the game?
they can damn well afford it if more than 5 million loving people have paid for the game

why don't they take it off Java?

too much time i guess

and think about it, it'd probably kill the modding community too

temporarily
if someone can only code for Java, they're incompetent
afterwards it would do nothing other than thrive

The Xbox version of Minecraft is written in C# and C++

If you want to play single player then simply set the game to invite only and don't send any invites.
If you have to piss and are worried about dying then bury yourself.
If you have to go out for something longer than a piss then just save exit and quit wasting electricity.

Quit bitching
Punch trees

That's a shoddy solution to an awful problem

why don't they take it off Java?

Because they would have to completely remake it.

Because they would have to completely remake it.
Imagine completely rewriting everything into a different game engine.

I can guess that most features we have now wouldn't be available.  For one, infinite maps would be tough to rewrite.
