i dont see what the problem is, it's actually pretty unrealistic how much you get, in a real life situation you'd get more
I just think with how things are organized in the game overall, it makes things too easy. Its not an issue of realism, seeing as the game is already completely unrealistic in itself. Its just a problem of adding more challenge to the game. I think at the least they could do it like I mentioned before with blocks being harder to destroy on Hard. Just make mobs drop less stuff on Hard.

Why? We already have hunger, why rule out thirst? At the very least it should be a toggelable option.
there should only be minimum size limit rather than make them larger in general, because i enjoy occasionally seeing a swap biome somewhat surrounded by an ocean and a hilly (but not mountainous) biome. so maybe like a 4x4 chunk minimum?
I think small biomes are a bad idea overall, if someone is traveling in need of supplies, its not at all difficult. I can spawn in a desert biome, and then walk 5 blocks into a tree ridden cow field.
I think the problem is that the devs are trying to focus too much on the BUILDING aspect of the game, which although is a huge part of it, its not exactly supposed to be the point of a survival gamemode. There version of "hard" just means more clicking of your left mouse button, it doesn't increase anything else besides mob spawning. I think they should start focusing more on the survival aspects of the game. If I want building to be easy, then I would set it on peaceful or play on creative.
and whats wrong with the bonemeal idea? i can make a bread way too easily if i walk 5 blocks outside at nighttime and just kill some skeletons.
