Author Topic: Minecraft Megathread; yeah its update 1.12 big whoop what about it  (Read 6803103 times)

Chickens need to drop wayy more feathers

capt. sparklez tried to build his avatar on YouAreMinecraft but everyone basically gangraped him and blocked his view so he only got to build like 30% of it

I just went on and his skin looks completed.

I found a little village on my sp world, ventured out a bit, found my first cave, hit a mineshaft:

i loving love mineshafts

I just went on and his skin looks completed.
i'm thinking that would be a fanmade duplicate because of this tweet:

https://twitter.com/CaptainSparklez/status/203233137973657600

unless we went back on and finished it or something, the stream ended with the server somehow crashing and he said he'd continue another day.

or maybe the mods/admins finished it for him, that would be nice of them.

It was just a thought

You know exactly what he meant, don't be a smartass
portable light lags a little bit, yeah, btu adventure craft managed it.

Animals shouldn't drop so much goddamn food they dont drop more than 1-3 items of food at a time. i dont see what the problem is, it's actually pretty unrealistic how much you get, in a real life situation you'd get more

Biomes should be larger, large enough so I can't run for 5 seconds and reach the other side there should only be minimum size limit rather than make them larger in general, because i enjoy occasionally seeing a swap biome somewhat surrounded by an ocean and a hilly (but not mountainous) biome. so maybe like a 4x4 chunk minimum?

Thirst and water bottles or something similar http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umDr0mPuyQc

Biomes should affect players conditions along with weather, eg: deserts make you thirstier or hungrier faster yes (also see my answer to the thirst idea)

Hostile water mobs, preferably ones that can destroy boats sounds cool and a bit challenging

fudsfsfhsf testificates the forgets i dont even

Dirt with grass on it should burn as well, but not destroy would be cool-ish

More variety of weapons and fighting should be improved in general so much yes.

Materials should be harder to get on harder gamemodes, like longer destroy time and less drops that's not too great of an idea but reasonable.

Bone meal should only make wheat grow, and only 1 level higher forget no!

Keep in mind that Minecraft is a fantasy game. We don't use water bottles, we use drinking horns.

I think MC needs larger boats that move faster. For those pesky ocean biomes.

Animals shouldn't drop so much goddamn food why? unless you have found an area with a large ammount of animals, or you have a large ammount in a pen you wont get too much. even so i could still get a full stack of steak easy, i have a 10~ x 12~ pen fill to the brim with cows. because i have a wheat farm. which i give to them. point is pepole shouldnt have to make large farms just to get some food and keep their animals.

Biomes should be larger, large enough so I can't run for 5 seconds and reach the other side id love to see more diverse sizes and logic, no snow in the desert please!

Thirst and water bottles or something similar id love to see this. food should cause you some thirst as you need some water with that steak or whatever, and it should controll your sprinting as opposed to food doing both hp regen and sprint. itd have to be stackable though, and potions should refill thirst too. glass bottles shouldnt stack, but if you make a bottling machine or something you could place some glass bottles filled with water(which would stack in the machine just to be fair lol) and it would transmit into the container on the other side, kinda like a furnace except instead of fuel and whatever your smelting you have water and bottles.

Biomes should affect players conditions along with weather, eg: deserts make you thirstier or hungrier faster eh, could be a bit wonky on detection. and then you have things like shade and if youre underground and everything

Hostile water mobs, preferably ones that can destroy boatscrabs and sharks pls and let us see fish

fudsfsfhsf testificates the forgets i want genders for these, and seperate child skins. children use the skin that they will grow up to be. as such they have breads and such.

Dirt with grass on it should burn as well, but not destroy would love it.

More variety of weapons and fighting should be improved in general i'd like to minecraft take an rpgish sorta turn, ex axes could cause bleeding but swing slower and not block as much health as a sword

Materials should be harder to get on harder gamemodes, like longer destroy time and less drops no.

Bone meal should only make wheat grow, and only 1 level higher no.

Just some stuff that I think should be improved or integrated into the game

I just think with how things are organized in the game overall, it makes things too easy. Its not an issue of realism, seeing as the game is already completely unrealistic in itself. Its just a problem of adding more challenge to the game. I think at the least they could do it like I mentioned before with blocks being harder to destroy on Hard. Just make mobs drop less stuff on Hard.

Why? We already have hunger, why rule out thirst? At the very least it should be a toggelable option.

I think small biomes are a bad idea overall, if someone is traveling in need of supplies, its not at all difficult. I can spawn in a desert biome, and then walk 5 blocks into a tree ridden cow field.

I think the problem is that the devs are trying to focus too much on the BUILDING aspect of the game, which although is a huge part of it, its not exactly supposed to be the point of a survival gamemode. There version of "hard" just means more clicking of your left mouse button, it doesn't increase anything else besides mob spawning. I think they should start focusing more on the survival aspects of the game. If I want building to be easy, then I would set it on peaceful or play on creative.

and whats wrong with the bonemeal idea? i can make a bread way too easily if i walk 5 blocks outside at nighttime and just kill some skeletons.

Real life says if you kill a pig, you eat for a week.
In Minecraft, if you kill a pig, you eat for three seconds.

in real life, days are 24 hours long
in minecraft, days are 10 minuets long

i think eating food and then not getting hungry for another day makes sense

bone meal causes grass and flowers to instantly spurt and trees to instantly grow, why should wheat(which is 1 block when a tree is like 5 min.) not grow instantly to max?

btw the slime picture is broken lol

fetching link to this cool map i found aaa
http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1190867-adventure-rpg-6-hero-mysterious-temple-adventure/
this is hard as hell, wip, btu awesome. not the map im talking about though. basicly theres six(i think) classes and you fight your way to a very diffucult room which is kind abroken considering there are atleast 20 dispensers that shoot spawning eggs and the room is crisscrossed with pressure plates

this stuff right here http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1192345-surv-the-jumper-the-ultimate-test-of-your-survival-skills/
isAWESOME. basicly hard core world; you find an ender pearl on each island and either use it to fight the boss or better yourself on the next island

I see where you're coming from, though day length and food given by a pig are not directly proportional.

Hunger is though, normally, we get hungry maybe 2-3 times a day in real life if we are pretty unactive. So if you don't even move, or sit in a boat or minecart for a whole minecraft day, or just walk around and build some suff, you don't even get hungry all day. If this is a part of the game, they should make food harder to get, seeing as we get hungry less often.
