Minecraft Megathread; yeah its update 1.12 big whoop what about it

i have no idea how to instal hamachi, i've never actually bothered to read up on the installation. i actually thought hamachi was a hosting service when i first heard of it, then i found out i had to install stuff to actually join the servers. unless there's some kind of point to joining a certain hamachi server, you might as well go join some other server that doesn't require you to download stuff.

The point I'm trying to make is I shouldn't have to go and download extra bullstuff to join a server, especially if I don't know if I'm going to enjoy it. I can see the appeal in making a small server with friends, but it's stupid when you go for more people, especially people you don't know irl. As for the argument stuff, these are my oppinions. I base my oppinions on things I have experienced and have had taught to me. The last time I forgeted with hamachi I had to read a huge list of instructions, that was a long time ago and apparently they have an installer now, maybe I was reading the wrong instructions, it doesn't matter. IMO I should't have to download things for a server that add nothing to gameplay.

if you install hamachi once, you shouldn't have to do it again.

I forget with mods a lot, my bin is littered with multiple versions of the .jar due to updates and custom mod packs. My point is I shouldn't have to download something to play on a server when the mod doesn't make anyhing better.

Hamachi isn't a mod...? You shouldn't have to install it everytime you do something to minecraft.

I really want a 'deep caves' world type. As is, ground level is block 64, with 64 blocks underground and 192 for sky. I want 64 blocks for sky and 192 blocks underground. The ore levels could scale so you'd have to dig MUCH deeper to find diamond. I think it would be pretty cool having such a deep world to dig in, and it would add a welcome bit of difficulty.
