i usually make torches, but it's still really annoying when you have to make four more sticks because you're one stick short.

i don't make more than one sword at a time when making iron or diamond swords. the reasoning behind it is i usually have still have my stone sword on hand. if i get caught without a weapon an axe or a pick will usually kill people.

using a tool to do something it wasn't intended to do will take up two uses
idk if that counts for using other tools to hit monsters. but I think it does

it does but i don't really care. iron is a resource that i usually have a lot of. if i don't have any tools i can just sprint punch and then run the forget away.

this is impossible unless you punch pigs/cows/sheep for a day

would be fun to do with others. alone, not so much. how would you get emeralds though, you can't break any blocks to get materials to trade. your only source of ingots would be rare drops from zombies. granted, you could get weapons and stuff from enemies, but it'd be a pain in the ass to actually do any trading.

it would be cool if adventure mode was more customizable. like you are able to choose what blocks you can break and what blocks you can't. it seems a bit silly that you can't harvest wheat.
