Forge keeps failing on me, what do I do??

I want to install Forge, Extra Biome's XL, Too Many Items, Modloader & Timber Mod (this requires mod loader). 
But I always get a black screen after installing forge. I didnt even install the other mods yet.

EDIT: Oh and optifine.

modloader and forge don't work together. modloader mods work with forge.

Ahh ok, but I still get black screens after installing just Forge not the other modes on a fresh Minecraft jar. What should I do to fix it?

it depends on how you're installing them. i'm positive that toomanyitems and timber are to be dropped into the mods folder, and not extracted into the jar. not sure about extra biomes though, you should look it up on the topic.

another way to make the whole process easier is to use a mod manager, like Magic Launcher or MultiMC.

It's Forge giving me problems it keeps giving me a black screen though?
