According to Jeb, you will be able to use quartz as decoration, "marble-like." He also said "maybe" to stairs and slabs being made out of it. So basically, you can make a quartz house out of them.

okay, apparently some people on my server were bothering everyone/making basically everyone on the server really uncomfortable
to those people: stop.
i'm probably going to have to whitelist the thing now

I have no clue what the RailCraft goggles are for. But I'm pretty sure those are the goggles from RailCraft.

I think you should turn off anti-aisling in Nividia or what video card you have for minecraft cause this is what fixed it for me

optifine ultra has antialiasing options built into it that you can use.

I used optifine for AA, and now when i turned it off the lines dissapeared.
